What is the NCRMLS Media Directory and why should I use it?

The NCRMLS Media Provider program offers brokers access to professional media services, streamlining the process of obtaining essential tools for real estate marketing. This centralized platform includes photos, videos, virtual tours, living area measuring, floor plans, and drone footage. Media providers sign a licensing agreement allowing NCRMLS to use the photos for MLS purposes, releasing the stress of extra paperwork by enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Am I required to use a Media Provider on this list?

No, you are not required to use a Media Provider on the list. However, it’s important to note that photographers who are not part of the program may not have signed the licensing agreement, which gives NCRMLS the right to use their images.

Do the photographers know the NCRMLS Rules?

Our Certified Media Providers have taken a NCRMLS course on media rules, which gave them a good understanding of what is and is not allowed in media.  Agents are still responsible for ensuring photographers have not made errors.

Does the Media Provider have access to my listing?

At this moment the Media Provider will not have access to the media section of your active or incomplete listings.

Is NCRMLS given ownership of the listing photos?

The copyright of ownership of the media is determined by the terms set forth in the agreement with the Media Providers.   NCRMLS offers 2 options to all media providers.

  • Option 1: NCRMLS is given ownership of the media by the media provider,  NCRMLS then gives rights back to the Media Provider.  NCRMLS will be responsible for the creation of the copyright and enforcement.
  • Option 2: NCRMLS is given rights to use the media for MLS purposes by the media provider.  The media provider is responsible to the copyright and enforcement.

Can I refer a Media Provider?

Absolutely! Refer a Media Provider for more information. They will need to complete the application and sign a contract.
